How the Cover Design Process Works
Our book cover design process is intentional, collaborative, and guided by publishing standards to ensure your final cover clearly represents your message and competes confidently in its genre.
Step 1: Discovery
After purchase, we schedule a Book Cover Discovery Call to understand your book, your audience, and your goals. This conversation helps clarify tone, message, and how the cover should feel to the intended reader.
Step 2: Collaborative Cover Diagnostic
You will participate in a Book Cover Diagnostic where you share insight into covers you are drawn to and explain what resonates or does not resonate visually. At the same time, our team evaluates genre expectations and market standards.
This step balances your preferences with professional publishing judgment.
Step 3: Concept Development
Using insight from discovery and the diagnostic, we create three professionally designed cover concepts that explore different visual directions for your book.
These concepts allow you to compare approaches and move forward with confidence.
Step 4: Refinement & Finalization
One cover concept is selected and refined through up to two rounds of revisions. The final design is then prepared as a complete, publication-ready book cover.
You receive finalized files for both print and eBook formats.
Important Details
This service applies to one book title only
Client participation informs direction but does not guarantee unlimited revisions or concepts
Major design pivots beyond included revisions, alternate editions, series designs, or additional formats are not included
Back-cover copy, author bio, and ISBN barcode generation are not included
What to Expect After Purchase
After completing your purchase, you will receive a follow-up email from TMM Publishing within 1–2 business dayswith a secure Google Form link to submit your project details and participate in the Book Cover Diagnostic.
Once intake is complete, your Book Cover Discovery Call will be scheduled. After discovery and diagnostic review, your three cover concepts will be developed and delivered for review.
